A Creative Writing Workshop with Local Children’s Author Anna Garrett!

Join Dahlonega’s own children’s author, Anna Garrett, for a fun and inspiring creative writing workshop designed just for young storytellers! In this hands-on session, students will explore the magic of storytelling, develop characters, build exciting plots, and bring their ideas to life on the page.

K–2 Workshop (10am): Through guided storytelling, drawing, and sentence building, younger writers will learn how to turn their ideas into simple, joyful stories they can be proud of.

️ Grades 3–6 Workshop (11 am): Budding authors will dive deeper into story structure, dialogue, and creative techniques as they craft their own original tales with tips from a real author.

Whether your child is already writing stories or just loves using their imagination, this workshop will build confidence, creativity, and a love for writing!
